We currently have a position open for an experienced VETERINARY TECHNICIAN at NORTH OGDEN ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

We are currently seeking a veterinary/medical technician who desires to work in the challenging and gratifying pet care environment. As a Veterinary Technician at NOAH, you will:

  • Extend the highest level of tailored service to clients when they visit or call the hospital

  • Use your knowledge of veterinary medicine by assisting our doctors in diagnosing and treating pets: monitoring anesthesia, performing laboratory tests, monitoring critically ill patients, placing and maintaining IV catheters and assisting with surgeries.

  • Use your written and verbal communication skills to communicate with and educate our pet owners regarding health and care related issues.

  • Provide recommendations to pet owners regarding the very best possible care for their pets

  • Oversee and maintain medical records for accuracy and completeness

  • Work in a team and patient centered environment with the common goal of providing excellent care of both our clients and their pets

  • Above all, appreciate the love that owners have for their pets

To be qualified for this position you must have:

  • a genuine love for pets, an ease in interacting with animals and their owners, and an understanding of the value of veterinary care

  • experience as a medical or veterinary assistant or comparable education is highly desirable

  • a professional, polished appearance

  • a well organized and detail-oriented personality

  • excellent verbal and communication skills

  • an aptitude to learn and articulate medical terminology

  • the capability to manage several responsibilities and projects at once

  • a high level of commitment

  • veterinary hospital or IntraVet software experience (helpful)

Candidates with previous experience in the veterinary field will have an advantage.
