How to work with your pet to make nail trims easy as cake! 

Relieving stress from your puppy or dog when it comes to nail trimming will help make them more confident and cooperative. 
Your pet is never too young to introduce them to nail trimming. 
Make sure it is a positive experience. Have plenty of your pets favorite treats. 

• Introduce your pet to the nail trimmers. Let them explore the nail trimmers without you holding the trimmers giving them treats as they sniff and examine. 
• Don’t use the nail clippers right away. Start by holding the paw lightly touching in between toes and nails with your fingers. Move to touching the toes and nails with other items, get them used to items touching their nails. Remember to give treats generously. 
• Go slow and take your time. Don’t force the nail trim, holding your pets paw tightly or forcefully will only increase fear and resistance. Build your dog's trust and confidence by associating paw and nail handling with a fun positive experience. 
• You don’t have to trim all the nails at once. Make it manageable by trimming 2-3 nails a day. 

Before you know it nail trims will be a piece of cake !
